PILLAR 03
Mindset
The Gap Between Average And Elite Is Standards, Not Talent.
The Personal Standards Behind Everything You Do
Most players think mindset is motivation. It's not.
Motivation comes and goes. Standards stay.
The gap between average and elite isn't talent. It's standards — how you operate when nobody's watching.
APPLICATION REQUIRED. LIMITED 1-1 CAPACITY.
Why This Pillar Matters
Your standards are a reflection of you.
I've worked with academy players, pros, semi-pros, and non-league players. The ones who progress aren't the most naturally gifted. They're the ones who hold a standard.
They check in properly. They execute sessions with intent. They respect the process. They commit long-term.
Here's what I see consistently:
→ Players with weak standards sabotage strong training
→ Players with weak standards can't stick to nutrition
→ Players with weak standards peak early then plateau
Standards are what hold everything together. Without them, the other two pillars don't stick.
How I Build It
We Start With Your Why
Not "I want to get stronger." Why do you actually want to get stronger?
→ Did you get dropped and have something to prove?
→ Do you feel outmuscled and embarrassed?
→ Are you chasing a contract?
Your real why is what keeps you going when it's hard. I find that first.
Then We Build Your Routine
Morning, day, evening — every part matters.
Morning: Do you wake up and scroll for two hours, or do you have a routine that sets you up for success? Hydration, education, movement — something that gets you operating at a higher level from wake up.
Day: Can you weigh your food properly? Execute your training with intent? Do things to a standard instead of guessing?
Evening: Do you wind down properly, manage your sleep, put your phone away — or do you scroll and mess up your recovery?
The way you do one thing becomes the way you do everything.
Then We Install Accountability
Most players disappear for weeks then check in and wonder why they're not progressing.
With me, you don't disappear. You check in properly. You commit to the process.
This isn't about me policing you. It's about you respecting the process enough to actually follow it.
What Makes This Different
Most Coaches Coach Training.
I Coach Standards.
Your training programme is one hour of your day. The other twenty-three hours decide whether it even counts.
So I coach:
→ How you wake up
→ How you eat
→ How you train
→ How you recover
→ How you sleep
→ How you operate when it's hard
Everything to a higher standard.
What Actually Changes
Players I've worked with who've bought into this:
→ Academy lads secured their first professional contracts
→ Pros earned new and improved deals
→ Semi-pro players jumped 2-3 divisions
→ Non-league players swept end-of-season awards
But more than results — they changed how they operate. They raised their standard. And the football is a byproduct.
The Standards You Operate Within
Before you apply, know this:
You commit long-term. Real change takes time. We work in phases — minimum six months. One-off sessions don't build anything.
You check in properly. No disappearing. No half-measures. You report — training, nutrition, recovery, sleep — and I adjust.
You execute with intent. Every session, every meal, every standard matters. We don't do average.
You hold yourself accountable. This isn't about me pushing you. It's about you respecting the process.
If you're ready to raise your standard, this pillar will change everything.
If you're looking for someone to motivate you or hand-hold you, this won't suit you.
Next Step
Mindset is most powerful when it's personalised to your situation, your goals, your standards.
That's why we start with the application call — to understand where you are and whether this is the right fit.
